Post 2601´s mission is to honor the dead by helping the living through service to our fallen heroes, veterans, and troops, but we also believe in the pursuit of happiness. We have a strong committment to veterans, active duty military, and their families. Our Post is for those who have served in harm’s way to secure our freedom. The Ladies and Men’s Auxiliaries are support organizations for our Post, as they are our parent organization. The Auxiliaries are comprised of mothers (step or foster), fathers (step or foster), grandmothers and grandfathers (step or foster), sons and daughters (step or foster), brothers (step or foster), and sisters (step or foster) of a veteran who has served and received a campaign medal for overseas service; have served 30 consecutive or 60 non-consecutive days in Korea; or have ever received hostile fire or imminent danger pay.
Stop in and sign in as a guest under one of our members for Karaoke, our occasional raffles, Bronco Sundays, poker games, lunches and dinners from time to time, and the occasional party for holidays and veteran holidays, and more. These are all activities that we have to promote our comradeship within our membership. Check out our calendar for upcoming events, and our newsletter will give you a sampling of what we are doing to support veterans, active duty military, and their families.
Our Cancer Aid and Research, Youth programs, and Community Service Programs are designed to continue support for veterans and their families. In addition we lend support through our Voice of Democracy Program, supports our veterans in nursing homes, hospitals, and through community support services, Patriot’s Pen, Voice of Democracy, Boy Scouts, Americanism events, Patriotic Day events, Cancer Aid and Research, Color Guard, and other veteran support programs. It is our hope that with our support the young will continue our efforts to promote Americanism, Patriotism, respect for God, self, family, and friends.
